RAID SATA controller with Plug-n-Play capability, the TenBox is also compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux environments.

Box mode switch selects 2 operating modes:
"0" for maximum storage capacity (striped drive), capacities of both hard disk drives are combined.
"1" operates at half the maximum capacity, storing programs in "mirrored drive" configuration, so programs are not lost in the event of single drive failure.
Compatibility with DVRs
* All TenBoxes TB1000, TB1500, TB2000 and TB3000 are compatible with all DirecTV Plus HD DVR models HR20 through HR23 except for HR21-100 and HR22-100 which are compatible with TB1000 and TB1500 only. Compatibility with a specific DVR is not guaranteed since satellite/cable companies upgrade their software/firmware frequently which may result in modification of their external storage connection. Compatibility with other DVRs such as TIVO and other cable/satellite company receivers vary. Please contact your cable/satellite company for confirmation.
** Most DVRs do not allow external storage larger than 2 TB. When set on BOX 1 mode, the TB3000 offers 1.5 TB of space recording programs, data duplicate,
so information is not lost even if there is a single hard disk drive failure.
